Raw banana Tikka /Plantain roast/ Valakkai Tikka

Raw bananas/ Plantain belong to the banana family but tend to be firmer and cannot be eaten raw.I have shown you a easy and healthy recipe with plantain . This is a tikka recipe and takes less time to cook. It taste’s like banana chips. It is crispy out and soft inside.I have also given you pictorial recipe. Now lets look into the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • One raw banana
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala
  • Cumin Powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Salt
  • Kashmir red chilli powder
  • Kasuri methi
  • Curd
  • Oil

Instruction:

  1. Take one raw banana and peel of the skin and cut it into small square pieces.
  2. Cook the banana in boiling water for one min exactly (not more than one min because it will over cook)
  3. Take the pieces in a bowl and let it cool
  4. Add pinch of turmeric powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp of garam masala
  5. Add 1 tsp coriander masala, add 1 tsp chilli powder(kashmiri red chilli for color) and pinch of salt
  6. Add 1 tsp of kasuri methi and 1 tsp of curd.
  7. Mix well and rest for 20 min
  8. Heat oil for shallow fry
  9. Dip the marinated pieces and cook each side for 2 min.
  10. Raw banana tikka is ready

Pictorial recipe:
